Clothing Donation Bin (go through the “Ping Pong” Room out the back door by cardboard box/newspaper drop off, to your right):

re-fashioNYC: launched in 2011, is a public-private partnership between the City of New York and Housing Works to make clothing donation as easy as possible through convenient in-building drop-off service.

Accepted items include:

Clothing (from women, men & children)
Shoes, purses, gloves, scarves, hats & belts
Towels, curtains, bedding & linens
Clean rags and torn clothing

Organics Collection:

We strongly encourage disposing of food related waste by using the Brown Organics Collection Bin. Click here to see what you can put in the Organics Bin.

We have been able to eliminate our curbside rodent issues (rats chewing open the trash bags), reduce the burden on building staff in carrying the heavy trash bags up the stairs, and reduced our contribution to landfill waste.

We suggest using a compost bin, such as this, next to your sink.

We supply biodegradable green bags in the basement next to the elevator.

We suggest freezing the compost prior to taking it down the brown bin in the basement. Freezing eliminates odor and pests and actually expedites decomposition.

For Management: Bin replacement.
